Karla Hirkaler has always loved arts, born and raised in Peru she grew up in a country filled with a very rich and colorful culture. Although she was a tomboy at heart, as a young teenage girl she discovered the beauty of makeup and her love for fashion while attending a summer program at a fashion school "Geraldine" in Peru. It soon became her passion, ambition and goal to pursue and she relocated to U.S. to fulfill her dreams. Once in the U.S. she was trained by Make Up For Ever before she attended and graduated from Cosmix school in Florida.

Her freelance career started by catering to Brides, HD TV, Airbrush & Private Lessons in Miami, however only after a few months she was given the opportunity to work on some of the most prestigious runways for NYFW.

She was then offered a job opportunity and moved to NY to work for the 5 time Emmy Award winning Makeup Artist EVE PEARL. Once in NY she became part of the Maybelline PRO Makeup Artist team for NYFW, and she has worked on many shows such as: Rodarte, Hermes, Giorgio Armani, The Row, Public School, Custo Barcelona, L.A.M.B, Rachel Zoe, RL, Armani Exchange, DKNY, just to name a few and she has an A+ list of celebrity clients. She has 10+ years of professional experience. Her work has been featured on Stylist.com, Bustle, Vogue, Rolling Stones, W, The Huffington Post, LA times, NY times, Forbes and The Zoe Report just to name a few.

Currently she works as a full time freelance Makeup & Hair Artist for different production houses and networks like ABC, Bloomberg TV, NBC, BET, Netflix and E!​
